Meet the Chubbs merino colour range
Our current yarn collection brings together 34 colours of World of Wool Chubbs, from soft neutrals to brighter shades. Each colour uses the same super chunky, singles construction: 100% merino wool, supplied as a 100g ball with approximately 65 metres of yarn. At publication, each ball is £7.20 including VAT.
Start with your pattern, then choose a colour
Before buying, check the yarn weight, fibre, meterage and tension required by your pattern. A 100g ball is a weight, not a promise that it will complete a particular project. Work out the total metres you need and compare that with the approximately 65 metres in each Chubbs ball. Allow for your own tension and any changes to the pattern.
The supplier suggests 8–12mm needles or crochet hooks. Treat that range as a starting point: a swatch using your intended tools is the useful check, especially when fit or finished dimensions matter. Our guide to yarn fibres and weights explains how these details work together.
Build a palette you will enjoy making with
You can browse the complete super chunky merino collection to compare colours. Choosing one main shade and one accent can be a manageable place to start when a pattern calls for more than one colour. Product photographs help with comparison, but screen settings and dye batches can affect how a colour appears. We do not promise an exact screen-to-yarn match or that separately placed orders will come from the same batch.
Check care and delivery before ordering
Chubbs is hand or gentle wash only. Do not tumble dry or iron it. Follow the yarn label and consider the care needs of the finished project; our wool and alpaca care guide offers a practical place to begin.
UK delivery is a flat £4 per order, including VAT. The final total appears at checkout. Availability is shown on individual product pages and can change as supplier inventory updates.
